With today’s localisation update, we added support for 10 additional languages to the game.

    • Chinese (Simplified)
    • Chinese (Traditional)
    • French
    • German
    • Italian
    • Japanese
    • Korean
    • Portuguese (Brazilian)
    • Russian
    • Spanish

The team here have worked incredibly hard alongside a translation/localisation company that specialises in videogame translations to ensure the best possible localised version of Robocraft. We are aware however, that sometimes the odd word or description can be missed or simply lost in-translation; and that’s where we need your help.

If you are a native speaker in any of the supported languages and you spot any errors, please let us know via the link below. Select ‘report Incorrect translation’ from the drop down and fill out the form; please provide screenshots if possible.

Also, it would help us immensely if you could provide both the incorrect text and what the correct text should be. We’ll then feedback to the localisation company to ensure the game is updated correctly as quickly as possible.

    Many thanks!

Im Korean, and I just tried to write hanguel(Korean alphabet) in chat, and the chat behaves like the insert key is pressed (so its not fixed i think. this bug was existing from chat alpha update)

So I insert ‘한’ and insert ‘국’ right after that (expecting ‘한국’ of course), it appears to be just like the second photo.
if you want to chat ‘한국’, you should write ‘한’ and space, and backspace, and ‘국’. 😛

I think this problem is caused by Korean letter in computer, as I know, Korean letter is 2-spaced char.

As a native german speaker i must admit:
It’s certainly one of the better localisations i have seen. 🙂

    Edit:
Ofc as a german i just HAD to submit all those terms i don’t agree with. 😀
Granted, most are fine, but translations like “Rod” => “Stab” just make my eyes bleed (“Rod” => “Stange” works 1000% better)

Russian localization seems fine as well.
Although some things are kinda bothersome, like “рельсовый пенетратор” or “лопасти парения”.
Anyhow, I went back to english right away. I am used to it.

Italian localization is not really good, expecially a lot of component’s names are totally wrong because they’re literal translations of terms that in italian have other meanings. Some of them would be much better untranslated because we use the english word in italian too, others should be translated differently. I can even re-translate them correctly for you, but i’d like some dev/mod acknowledging that it’ll be used so i know it’s worth doing so

rail is translated wrong… rail means in german “schiene” yes, but “Schiene” aka rail is the only word in german for rail for trains, so “schiene” is the track where the train rolls on. there exists no german word for railgun. germans already say railgun in german too

“einlock raketenwerfer” should be write “Zielsuch Raketenwerfer” because Lock on means “Zielsuch” oder “Zielsuche”

germany has the most amusing language ever, “Panzerkampfwagen” literally translates to armored fighting car XD, going back into history with germany’s most famous tanks in world of tanks…

    Panzerkampfwagen IV (PzIV)

    Panzerkampfwagen V (Panther)

    Panzerkampfwagen VI (Tiger I)

    Panzerkampfwagen VII (Lowe)

    Panzerkampfwagen VIII (Maus)

“Armored Fighting Car #4-8” the creativity in naming things is why i love germany, the name sounds cool but its literally as simple as possible

Panzerfaust – Tank Fist XD germany never change please

It also happens in square text languages i.e. chinese and japanese.

I have to still use english because my native language is not supported,

but I noticed that combo box “Quality setting” on setting page stays english, no matter which language is chosen.

Hey mariusXbot, we didn’t do any balance changes with today’s update. If we did, these would have been clearly written in the patch notes.

The same for Spanish “Riel” is where the trains roll on, Railgun is transalted sometimes as “Cañon de Riel”

Also all the lasers and plasmas has some weird names except the Legendary ones (Leviatan, Goliathon) which have a more correct name, maybe you should use the same model for the others. Flaks also had weird names in spanish and the translation for the CSH is something very WTF because “Mototrituradora” is something like this and I think you should leave the english name or maybe translate it to something like “Ametralladora” o “Cañoñ de cadena”

The shields name are too long, boring and does not relate to their original name, instead of “Escudo galvanizado” (wtf) maybe it should be better like “Electroescudo”

About modules, the blink translation is too literal, “parpadeo” sounds weird, why not put something better like “Modulo de salto”, all radars and jammers had some weird names, especially jammers, their translation is three words “Inhibidor de radar” which makes long and boring names, maybe just translate it like “bloqueador” and the same for radar, just name them radar and then their category.

On movement parts the “Mecapatas” just sound stupid but I cant think of a better one, I dont like the translation for hover I would prefer to keep it as “hover”, the rudder translation is kinda confusing but since its short and easy to remember its ok.

We germans even sneaked in a couple of our military words into the english language. 🙂

    Noticed the Aeroflak?
Flak is german and is short for “Flugabwehrkanone” => Air defense Cannon.
Even brits and americans can agree that FLAK sounds better then ADC. 😀

Now the german Robocraft translation for “Aeroflak” is “Luftflak”…
… lets just say the “Fl” in Flak makes the Aero/ Luft obsolete and should be removed.
